What Abbotsford homeowners say
“The start was alittle slow with only having 1 or 2 guys on site to start roofing that first week. Then 2nd week had more guys. Possibly rushed alittle in areas? My have been the cause of not doing a certain section of roofline properly.”
See this roof 2 photos · Musket Grey Slate“Installation time dragged out longer than expected. The weather factored into the delay. They were working on a number of projects at the same time.”

“It was the worst service ever They should fire Todd and get a different crew to run the jobs I hope Todd gets removed from his position as a foreman and they pick somebody else”
“Delivery of materials was a disaster and did not go as it should have. The garbage bin was placed in an odd position (not where Mike had said) which made parking difficult for a couple weeks. Removal of all items at the end of the job instead of leaving plywood at the jobsite would have been nice. Finally I've been finding little aluminum pieces and styrofoam bits around the yard all over.It would have been better if we had gotten more information about the delivery before it came. We were told one date (and it didn't happen). We were told a different day and it was late. When the delivery driver did come we were asked to help move the load as he couldn't move it himself and weren't informed that we should not have helped as things were put in the wrong place and it damaged my vehicle in the garage. A simple "the driver will be responsible for delivery and proper placement of materials" and "materials stolen from jobsite will be Interlock's responsibility" would have made our lives so much easier in the long run. A final inspection by Mike (or other person from Interlock directly) along with us would have been nice. We had a friend come inspect the roof and found deficiencies which made things take longer and it would have been nicer if a final inspection with the company was included.”
“Communication is a big factor that could have been improved upon. I understand they are busy and have other clients, but regular communication as to what is going on so we aren't feeling like we are in the dark would have been appreciated. I dont want to have to feel like I am micromanaging a project”
Roofing in Abbotsford: what to plan for
Wet winters, then hot summers
The valley floor spends much of the winter wet, and the summers run hotter and drier than the coast, especially toward Chilliwack and Hope. Cedar and asphalt age fast under that swing. Aluminum absorbs nothing and cannot rot, and the manufacturer's coating warranty spells out the fade and chalk limits.
Outflow wind in a cold snap
When Arctic air drains out of the interior, the Fraser Canyon funnels it down the valley, and Hope, Agassiz and Chilliwack take the brunt. Interlock panels lock on all four sides with the fasteners concealed. Wind resistance is warranted to 193 km/h (120 mph) installed to manufacturer specification.
Farm country and acreages
Plenty of our valley work is on rural homes with outbuildings and long rooflines. The same profiles go on a house, a detached garage or a shop, so everything on the property can match and carry the same system.
Fire season reaches the valley too
Summers are drier toward the east end, and homes near forest or grassland carry real wildfire exposure. Class A is available on our roofs as a complete assembly (two layers of GAF VersaShield® over 12 mm (15/32-inch) plywood, per ASTM E108), and aluminum does not ignite.
